did she go on this trip? He’s got other things on his mind though—a crumbling lodge, and his own plans and dreams that are forever deferred—so he doesn’t have time for Ms. Fish-Out-of-Water. READ MY BOOK REVIEW
The insta-love trope is not my cup of tea, but I’ve enjoyed many of Sophie’s previous books that I was able to look past it. Just be warned, they do fall in love FAST. This may not be realistic especially after a breakup, but it’s fiction. In fiction books it tends to happen faster because an author doesn’t need to write 1000 pages before us readers can say “okay that was a good amount of time to fall in love”. But readers are told it’s only taken them 10 days to fall in love so take that as you will. Other than that, I thought this was a cute story. I always love the fish out of water/opposites attract trope and these two made it work perfectly. I smiled a lot while reading and found the story to be charming and sweet!
