Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers is just a fantastic read all around. It’s a lighthearted mystery that had me laughing, craving home cooked dishes from Vera, and falling hopelessly in love with all the characters. Each one of them is well rounded, quirky in their own way, and well developed. They feel so real that readers like me wish they were OUR friends. And that’s not only in this book either. All of Jesse’s books make me feel like way. Frankly, I don’t think I would accept any criticism of any of her books because they are all SO MUCH FUN – even her thrillers! So, if you’re looking for a mystery that feels cozy, has an amazing found family trope, AND will make you laugh then you should read this book! Its one of my favorite books of the year!
