and other than in her posts, most people have never seen her. Who is she, really? Using a fake Instagram account, Rachel goes undercover to BuzzCon, a popular influencer conference, where she discovers a world of fierce rivalry that may have turned lethal.
When police find the body of a woman with a tattoo of a snake eating its tail—identical to a tattoo Rachel had seen on Bailey’s hand—the FBI must consider a chilling possibility: Bailey has an accomplice on the outside and a dangerous obsession with influencers, including Rachel Krall herself. Suddenly the target of a monster hiding in plain sight, Rachel is forced to confront the very real dangers that lurk in the dark corners of the internet.

READ MY BOOK REVIEW
Dark Corners by Megan Goldin is the second book in the Rachel Krall series which features a famous podcaster (and former crime reporter) who dives deep into the cases that she feels have had some sort of injustice. Now, I didn’t know this would turn into a series. Her previous novel, The Night Swim, which also happens to be one of my favorite thrillers of all time, was amazing. So, I was a little nervous to be back in Rachel’s world because I didn’t think it could possibly stand up against the Night Swim. Boy was I wrong. This one was JUST AS GOOD. In Dark Corners, Rachel is called to Daytona Florida when a detective needs her help keeping a suspected serial killer behind bars. But when she gets there and starts digging into the case, she quickly realizes that things aren’t always what they seem.
Dark Corners is a twisty, relatable, and fast paced read and I had a hard time putting it down! Megan Goldin is such a talented thriller author, and I devoured this one as fast as I could. I highly recommend it to people who enjoy crime books, thrillers, and even podcasts!
