I have to say I’m a bit devastated that this is the final book in the Blessings, Georgia series as I have come to love it so much. I am however happy to say that this was a beautiful 5 star read though.

𝗠𝗬 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

Every once in a while, there’s a series that comes out where each and every book is an absolute winner. This is one of those series. Sadly, this is the final book and while I am so devastated that this series is ending, I am looking forward to the authors new series. I hope it’s just as sweet and charming as this one.

In The Best of Me, readers who have come to love this series will finally see Ruby and Peanut get their wish: having a child. While their story is heartbreaking in its own right as they weren’t able to have children on their own, it’s beautiful to see them take in a little girl who recently lost her mother and give her the love and home she deserves. I’ll admit, I shed a few tears because Carly’s story is deeply emotional but seeing her grow and love her new family was extremely sweet. I can’t get out it honestly. It's heartwarming and absolutely beautiful.

Not only do we read about Ruby, Peanut, and little Carly, but we also get a second story wrapped into this one with Deborah and Ladd. These two had a deep relationship when they were younger, but it ended for them when they were teens. Years later when Deborah rescues him from a bull accident the two rekindle what they had in the past. Their second chance love story is also beautiful.

All in all, I loved this book. This has been one of my favorite series for years as Sharon Sala writers a cleaner romance that focuses on the love and relationship rather than the sex, so we get to know the characters on a deeper level. Not only that, the town of Blessings, Georgia is a place I’d love to be so being transported there through Sala’s storytelling was an absolute blessing to me.

If you enjoy sweet, southern, and mostly wholesome romances then this series is a must read. I have loved each and every book and highly recommend every single one.
