intoxicating nights. But as it becomes clear that the group is even more cut off from civilization than they initially thought, it starts to feel like the island itself is closing in, sending them on a dangerous spiral of discovery.
When one person goes missing and another turns up dead, the remaining friends wonder what dark currents lie beneath this impenetrable paradise—and who else will be swept under its secluded chaos. With its island gothic sensibility, sexy suspense, and spine-tingling reimagining of an Agatha Christie classic, Reckless Girls will wreck you.

READ MY BOOK REVIEW
𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧: This one may not be everyone’s favorite but its certainly mine! I love the claustrophobic feels this book gives- almost like these characters were actually deserted on this creepy island!
I’ve seen a lot of reviews for this one and it seems that people either love it or hate it. Personally, I enjoyed the heck out of Reckless Girls and read it in under 24 hours because I found it to be so intriguing. Sure, it’s a slow burn thriller and nothing really happens during the first half of the book (in terms of the mystery or suspense) but it’s this slow buildup that really captivated me. Normally I prefer a faster paced read but I think I was so hypnotized by the tropical scene in this one that I could have care less about the pacing. It just WORKED for this book. I think its safe to say that Rachel’s take on the gothic themes in her suspenseful novels are a total winner for me as a read and of course I’ll read anything she writes! I can’t wait to see what sort of twisted storyline she begins us next time!
I’ll keep this review simple as I don’t want to rehash everything that goes on within it, but I’ll give you a few clues as to what you can expect while reading. Firstly, this one DOES have 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗡𝗘 VIBES (secluded location, mysterious deaths, unknown killer). Again, we don’t get to this until a little over halfway through but the build up to it works wonderfully (especially considering the twist at the end). This book brings everything together by using 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦 from a few different characters (again, this really makes so much sense when you get to the end and the twist happens). And finally, it DOES have quite the twist at the end. I didn’t find it too shocking, but I did enjoy the little tidbit at the very end.
If any of these things sound like something you would enjoy then I totally recommend giving this riveting, tropical thriller a try! I enjoyed it very much and personally couldn’t put it down!
