This is one of the darkest romances I have ever read. K. Webster slays this genre. I highly recommend it if you like your book ULTRA dark and dirty.

Wow. I am almost at a loss for words after reading this book. It's utterly insane! For those who don't like books that blur the lines and involve things like rape, kidnapping, blood, gore, and potentially murder, you may want to skip it. Because I am telling you, it's DARK. Some parts of the book had me cowering with hands over my mouth in awe. I get asking myself, did the author REALLY write this kind of scene!?!? It's crazy!

Anyway, I decided to give this series a try because some new book friends suggested it to me. On top of that, I haven't read a dark romance in ages so I wanted to get in a quick read. Well, I'll tell you, this wasn't a quick read at all. And that's not because the book is long (it's only about 260 pages) but because I had to keep putting it down due to the severity of what was happening within the pages.

Thank you friends who suggested this book to me. I certainly didn't need it in my life but if I am being honest, I really wanted it! LOL.

Fair Warning of what You will Get
Sweet, 17 year old Baylee is living a normal life as a teenager until one day she is ripped from her home by a man she thought she could trust. Gabe, a family friend has dark needs. He snatches Baylee right from her home so that he can train her as a sex slave. He does horribly depraved things to her body (some very unmentionable things that will make you gag) in order to get her ready for whoever chooses to buy her. But then, something goes right (or as right as it can go in a situation as deplorable as this). She is sold off to a wealthy millionaire named War. War is not your typical man. He has severe mental health issues and juts wants a companion since he has been unable to share his life with anyone in many years. He doesn't realize how much Baylee will turn his world upside down, or the consequences of keeping a girl who was never meant to be kept.

This book ends in a BIG cliffhanger. Thankfully, all books are available for purchase though and you can read them one after another if you chose to do so. I personally need a tiny break in between because of how twisted this one is, but will likely be going into book 2 very soon.

If you are looking for a dark, depraved, and twisted read, this is one book that should be on your list. If you don't like dark books that involve all sorts of horrible things like rape and kidnapping, then stay away... You have been warned!
