This post will contain the review for both books in the Beautiful Hearts Duet by Emma Scott. If you haven't read these two books yet I highly recommend doing so. They are beautiful, emotional, and so damn heartwarming once the story completes.
Rating: ★★★★★
Release Date: August 18, 2018
Genre: College & Military Romance
Series: The Beautiful Hearts Duet #1

Pages: 285 pages
Format: eBook. Borrowed from Kindle Unlimited.

I fell for Connor Drake. I didn’t want to; I fought against it, but I fell in love with him anyway. With his words. With his poetry. With him. The gentleness and beauty of his soul that speaks directly to mine. He writes as if he can feel my heart, hear its cadence and compose the exact right lyrics to accompany every beat and flow.

I’m in love with Connor…so why do I feel an inexplicable pull to his best friend, Weston? Grouchy, sullen, brooding Weston Turner, who could cut you down with a look. Fiercely intelligent with a razor sharp wit and acid tongue, he’s the exact opposite of Connor in every way, and yet there’s electricity in the air between us. The thorny barbs Weston wraps around himself can’t keep me away.

But the more time I spend with these men, the more tangled and confused my emotions become. When they both sign up for the Army Reserves during a time of increasing strife in the Middle East,
I fear I’ll never unravel my own heart that sometimes feels as if it will tear straight down the middle…for both of them.

                                                                                                                               **********
Bring Down the Stars is an emotional, angst-filled novel of unrequited love by bestselling author, Emma Scott, and is inspired by the classic tale, Cyrano de Bergerac. (Roxanne) It is Book I in the Beautiful Hearts Duet, coming this summer. Book II, Long Live the Beautiful Hearts, to be released a few weeks later. Read my Book Review

Release Date: August 19, 2018
Genre: College Romance. Military Romance.
Actual Rating: 5+ stars

I am SOBBING right now. DAMN. It's takes an awful lot for a book to touch me this way and Emma Scott has done it. Gosh, I am an absolute mess after reading this. Normally I don't stay up this late (it's 12:30 am here) but I HAD to finish this book. Now I am kicking myself for finishing it because I really want to read book 2 and I can't. GAH! My emotions are all over the place. I am stumped as to what is going to happen in the next book and I am so anxious to read it that I can barely take it.

Friends, if you haven't had a chance to read this beautifully EPIC romance that takes you on an emotional roller-coaster then I HIGHLY recommend you stop everything and do so. You are in luck too because the second book in this emotional duet is available now and can be read for FREE with kindle unlimited.

I will not get into the plot with this one because it would absolutely ruin the experience for potential readers but I will give you an idea as to what you will get. First, this is a college romance. Not a cheesy one with immature characters that party hard all day long, but one where these characters actually have goals and care about other things aside from sleeping around and drinking 24/7. Secondly, this book is downright emotional. This book made me CRY. Especially when it comes to the ending. Thirdly, this book will make you FEEL. I feel like I was sitting on the sidelines within the story and watching everything play out. Emma Scott is known for writing books that become a second home for her readers and that is no different than this one. You feel apart of the story. The emotions and feelings from the characters become your own. It's utterly amazing how this book brings about all these emotions when it's clearly a work of fiction. Fourthly, you will become invested in these characters lives. You may not fully agree with everything going on but you will feel both sympathy and empathy for them whether you like it or not. Finally, you are no doubt going to experience one hell of an epic journey .

I loved this book. I love the author and her way with words. She puts her heart and soul into these pages and readers will always be guaranteed an experience if they read her work. Obviously, I highly recommend this one. With all my heart and soul.

Never again would I allow my heart to become the plaything of someone else.
Never again would I let a man (or men) come between me and my goals.
Never again would I love without feeling the fullness of that love in return.
Not until I knew it was real. And if that took me a lifetime to find, so be it.

Those were my vows, and after all that had happened with Connor and Weston, I was determined to keep them. To protect my heart.
And then he came home, and my vows became his promises.

He held my heart in his hands with reverence and care.
He helped me find my soul’s greatest purpose in life.
He loved me with a love so pure and vibrant, I knew I’d never feel
anything like it in a hundred lifetimes.
It was real.

Until it wasn’t.
Until it all came crashing down when I discovered the deep love I thought I’d found was nestled in a web of lies—so soft and silken I hadn’t noticed it was there.
Until it was too late.

Long Live the Beautiful Hearts is the emotional, heart-wrenching conclusion to the Beautiful Hearts Duet by bestselling author, Emma Scott, and is inspired by the classic tale, Cyrano de Bergerac. (Roxanne) THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL LOVE TRIANGLE #confusedhearts #notamenage THIS BOOK IS NOT A STANDALONE. It should not be read without first reading Bring Down the Stars

Release Date: October 14, 2018
Genre: New Adult Romance. Military ROmance
Actual Rating: 5+ stars

Gosh. I didn't think it was possible to grieve with fictional characters but this duet has shown me that it is possible. These characters have burrowed their way into my heart and I don't think I will be able to forget about them for a long time.

Long Live the Beautiful Hearts is the second book in the Beautiful Hearts duet which must be read in order. It follows the lives of three characters who are essentially at a crossroad in their lives and must overcome difficulties that will forever change them. Wes, Autumn, and Conner each harbor their own demons- some worse than others. Within these two novels, you will become a part of their journey as they overcome everything that is thrown in their way. It's an emotional roller coaster, one that is likely to stay with you forever. It's also a beautiful romance that brings pain and happiness. I hope all readers of romance get a chance to read this book/duet. It's life changing, eyeopening, and more beautiful than I could ever describe it.

I won't spoil the plot for those who haven't read it yet. But I will say that if you haven't read either books and plan to that you should keep tissues in hand and both books on your kindle. Once you start them you won't be able to stop reading until the epic conclusion.
