Imperfect Match is a pleasant, lighthearted, friends-to-lovers romance with a lot of heart! I really enjoyed this collaboration between Corrine Michaels and Melanie Harlow and can't wait for more in the future! These two can clearly write romances that will make readers swoon and feel the love manifest right off the pages. I felt like Aspen in a way because I could practically see their auras just by reading the book (Aspen is the heroines sister who happens to be a little bit hippy). So, I definitely recommend it to those who love a good romance.
Reid and Willow are best friends. Reid has a jaded view on love and marriage because of the way his father treated him and his family when he was growing up, and Willow sees the white picket fence and babies in the future. The two couldn't be more opposite on their feelings of it all but are able to have a strong friendship despite it. Willow is also a professional matchmaker and in order to take over her mothers company she is supposed to prove herself by helping Reid find his perfect match. Willow doesn't think this will be an issue of course, she knows just what Reid needs. But when she starts setting him up she realizes that maybe SHE is supposed to be with him. Can two opposites/best friends find love with each other even though they have completely different views on how the future will look? That is the question that pushes the plot throughout Imperfect Match! Go on a journey with Reid and Willow as they figure out what they truly want in love and life.
One of the most spectacular things about this book is the chemistry between Reid and Willow. Harlow and Michaels has written it so good that I felt like I shared the same chemistry with them! It's a beautiful thing to see and read about and I absolutely adored it! Another thing that made this book feel so good to me is the friendship between the two. I love how they were able to navigate the friends to lovers field and while it wasn't always easy and smooth, it was a journey that needed to be waded through in order to find their HEA. All around, it's just lovely!
I recommend Imperfect Match to all romance readers!
