ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS ROMANCE. ROOMMATES-TO-LOVERS ROMANCE. Teagan Hunter has entrapped me in her stories. Whether it be an emotional and gut wrenching read or a lighter book filled with belly laughs, she continues to enthrall me. I am consistently looking forward to reading her new releases and jump quickly at the opportunity to read her books because she knows how to make me smile. I Knead You Tonight is everything I was hoping for. I didn't feel like reading something heavy but I also wanted something that had some seriousness to it and this book encompassed both. This book deals with the difficulty of being a single parent (she wrote it with ease and truthfulness) but also of two polar opposites who, despite a LOT of resistance, begin to fall in love. The road isn't an easy one to navigate. It's rocky, hard, and at times hilarious, but it's also really sweet and heartwarming. The characters are definitely what made this book into something special. If you read A Pizza My Heart then you will recall both Drew (she's the heroine) and Winston. Drew is Wren's best friend from the previous book and Winston her twin brother. While this book can be read as a complete standalone, I recommend reading A Pizza My Heart first if you don't want relationship spoilers from Wren's story. Back to the characters. Drew is a little bit different than I thought she would be considering when I first "met" her in A Pizza My Heart she kind of came off as a sassy chick filled with sarcasm. In this one though, we see another side of her. One that is a bit more tender but still holds the sass and sarcasm that I came to love. I love seeing her in the role of MOM to her baby boy and the fierce protectiveness she has over him. It was also nice to see her struggle. Teagan really showed the other side of parenting, especially those who have to go at it alone. I related to Drew because of this and am so happy Teagan didn't make her as the perfect heroine with no issues because it wouldn't have worked for the story. Winston is the grumpy hero of the story. It took me a teeny bit to like him- again I thought he was going to be this hilarious man without a care in the world (sort of like Drew) but we were able to get a deeper look at him in I Knead You Tonight. Once again, Teagan didn't write him as "perfect" but instead showed his own struggles with life making him easily relatable. He may have been grumpy, but I certainly gained and understanding to his attitude and fell in love with him because of it. Dare I say he just might be my favorite hero of Teagan's books? MAYBE! As I mentioned, this is an enemies-to-lovers romance and Teagan wrote is PERFECTLY. Their banter, the way they "hated" each other, and their overall reactions towards one another is HILARIOUS. This is exactly what I look for in an enemies-to-lovers romance (it doesn't always have to be dark and angsty) and I smiled the whole way though! All this being said, I really enjoyed this book and am hoping Porter (a single dad who makes minor appearances in this book) will be the star of the next one! I have a feeling I'll fall hopelessly in love with him! BOOK TEASERSABOUT TEAGAN HUNTERI'm a Missouri-raised gal, but currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband and 9-year-old dog. I spend my days begging him for a cat, and I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I'm not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I'll ever read, and I never say no to brownies. Writing is my passion, and this is just the beginning of my journey.
