Cozy Mystery | Third Book in the Series
Deadly Ride is the third book in the Britton Bay mystery series. For greatest enjoyment, I highly recommend reading the series in order of publication. While each book does have it's own mystery, the characters evolve through each book and a budding romance blossoms as well. Not only that, this is an awesome series and those who enjoy cozy mysteries will easily become entrapped in the stories.
That being said, I enjoyed this book. I think the first two books were a bit better but I still sailed through this one and enjoyed figuring out "who-dun-it" with Molly. One of the main reasons this may not have been my favorite of the series is because the story revolves around a car show and a murder that takes place at it. The victim, while very unlikable, didn't get as much recognition in the story either. I feel like I wasn't able to get a good picture of him other than seeing he was a chauvinistic pig! Also, cars are not really my thing so I wasn't completely interested in the plot line.
Regardless of the things I didn't care for within this book I am really glad Jody is continuing on in the series. It's one of my favorites and I look forward to many more (hopefully) in the future!
