I am loving the Rixon Raiders series! L.A. Cotton writes amazing angst into her stories and it has me flipping the pages at lightning speed! Jason and Felicity have a complicated relationship- they really don't like each other in the beginning- but also some inner demons within themselves as well. This makes a lot of sense when your reading it and it's very fitting for their age bracket. Questions like "am I good enough" and "can I meet the expectations others have set for me" are really prominent with the characters; especially Jason, and it makes them feel realistic. I mean honestly, who hasn't felt this way before? I love how L.A. Cotton made these issues to relatable.
Getting back to Jason and Felicity though, their relationship is definitely enemies-to-lovers so if you enjoy this trope (along with football/sports) you are going to fall head over feels for this one. The angst was top notch and the chemistry was SMOKING! I could see and feel it before the characters could but that made the read so much more exciting! I couldn't wait to see them actually fall together.
Overall, this is another fantastic book in the series and I highly recommend it to all readers who enjoy High School romances. I also recommend reading the first book in the series although it's not necessary. You can read them both as standalones.
