In the past year or so I have been obsessing over Christina Lauren's romantic comedies. They always write fun stories with engaging characters, quirky story-lines, and relatable drama. In The Unhoneymooners, this writing duo tells the story of Olive and Ethan who go on a fake honeymoon together after Olive's sister and her new husband (along with the other wedding guests) get food poisoning. Sounds fun, right? It is! But what makes it so much more juicy is the fact that Ethan and Olive DESPISE each other. The banter between these two is laugh out loud funny! I was giggling throughout the story quite a bit and loved watching them argue while very slowly falling in love with one another. It takes a bit for them to get there, but I can guarantee that the journey is worth it.
If you have been a fan of the authors previous novels; specifically Roomies, My Favorite Half-Night Stand, and Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating, you are going to really enjoy this one. It's not my personal favorite from them, but the book is entertaining and fun! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an escape as you get that (and more) within this book!
