Release Date: March 2, 2018
Genre: Chick Lit
Ahhh. What a sweet and charming read! Like a cheese-ball, I had the biggest smile on my face when we got to the last two chapters. I simply couldn't help myself. This is the epitome of a feel good romance and chick lit novel. If you're looking for a sweet and endearing read that will play ping pong with your emotions and make you fall head over heels for a magical little island, then I very much recommend this book to you.
ABOUT THE BOOK
The Little Wedding Island is a magical place where couples come to get married. As per the Islands statistics, those who do marry here are nearly guaranteed a life of wedded bliss without the worry of divorce. After all, there had never been one between any of the couples who spent their wedding day there. Is it magic? Perhaps. But feuding reporters, Bonnie and Roe, are on the case to find out!
Neither Bonnie or Roe like each other, especially after their little spat on twitter. But they can't get out of the jobs they are assigned to unless they want to loose their jobs. So both head to the island of love seeking answers to their nagging questions about the locals- are they a cult? Are they ripping people off? etc.
Unfortunately for these two, they get more than they bargained for. Perhaps the Little Wedding Island is magical after all as it sets off fireworks between these two enemies... Is love in the air for them? And how far will they go to uncover the truths of the island? You will have to read to find out.
Obviously. I adored this book. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it immensely. However, it was quite predictable and I could almost guess what was going to happen next before it too place. This is the main reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than this, I can't think of anything else I didn't like about it.
Fans of enemies to lovers tropes, this book is for you! Also, if you love weddings, endearing British characters, and a town filled with people who will charm you, then you should pick up this book. I am excited to read more from Jaimie Admans in the future. I also think i'll read her previous novel, The Chateau of Happily-Ever-Afters, as well.
