The Block Party by Jamie Day is a solid debut! It reminded me of The Husbands Secret and Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty a little bit which is great because I love her books and am always searching for some that are similar. This is a drama filled suburban thriller/suspense novel with so many secrets and lies that I was greedily munching on my popcorn and waiting for more drama to unfold- I loved it! While some of it did drag a little for me as it felt repetitive, I truly enjoyed this novel for what it was and would definitely read more from the author in the future!

If you enjoy books that are filled with gossip, scandal, and wives behaving badly then I recommend this book to you!
