This book consumed me. I devoured every word and couldn't look away from the pages. This is one of the best, new adult, college romances I have ever read.
Rating: ★★★★★
Release Date: January 24, 2018
Genre: New Adult. College Romance.
Series: None. Standalone.

Pages: 295
Format: eBook. Kindle Unlimited.
I thought he'd always be mine,
even when I was forced to say goodbye.

We were never meant to let go,
but it happened anyway.
Too bad I didn’t know someone was waiting to take my place, or I would've held on a lot tighter.

Two years later, we were exactly where we'd always planned to be.
I'd kept my promise.
He'd forgotten all about his.
Not only had he moved on, but the person he'd moved on with was my best friend, leaving me to begin college with a broken heart.
I guess this is the part where I’m supposed to tell you some other guy stepped in, repaired my shattered pieces, and made me smile again.

This isn't that kind of story. My heart might have been broken, but it refused to fall out of love.

WARNING: this book contains cheating.

READ MY BOOK REVIEW

Release Date: January 24, 2018
Genre: New Adult. College Romance.

This book consumed me. It set my emotions on fire and left me breathless. Every word of this novel was devoured and I could hardly put it down for fear that I would miss something I so achingly needed. I loved this book. Even though there were times where I hated what was happening, I still couldn't stop myself from feeling every heartbreaking moment. This is a truly beautifully written book with enough angst to satiate my need for it for an entire year. And I highly recommend it to fellow readers even though it has moments that will infuriate you. There is cheating, momentary lapses in judgement, and emotionally devastating situations when it comes to first loves. But I wouldn't change a thing about it. And I don't think many readers would either.

ABOUT SUDDENLY FORBIDDEN

Ella Fields has woven a tale of pure and undying love in this book. It starts off by showing us readers two children who fall in love with one another way before they even know what the word is. This love takes off from an early age between these two and doesn't die out at all. Until a moment that changes everything, and one of them has to move away. Suddenly, there love is ripped away and they are forced to come to terms with not being together...

Flash forward and they are in college. When they were younger, they promised that they would always be together and attend the same college, but since their worlds were torn apart two years ago, neither expected to see each other there. But they do.. And someone has moved on in the most heartbreaking way... But when they see each other again, they have to decide if their love is worth hurting someone else in order to live their destiny..

OVERALL THOUGHTS OF THIS BOOK

This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. I knew there were moments where I should have been mad (I don't condone cheating in any way), but I simply couldn't because it was clear that fate had other plans for these two. if you don't like novels with love triangles and slight cheating then this may not be the book for you. And in all honesty, I felt that everything was justified in the end. I guess it's the fact that Ella did such a wonderful job at allowing us to get to know her characters on a deep and intimate level that made me feel this way.

Going forward, this is the kind of book that I simply did not want to end. I wanted more of the relationship. I wanted to see these two grow old together. I wanted so much more. But I am happy with how everything turned out (the epilogue was beautiful) and I wouldn't change a thing about the story.

If you're looking for a book with the type of love that spans a lifetime, this is one that you need to read. If you're looking for a book that you will feel connected to, one that will make you become invested in the characters lives then I recommend this as well. I loved it to pieces.
