He's turning our formerly innocent nightly chats into X-rated phone calls. Our playful banter sports a new, dangerous edge.
I want to assume he's playing a prank on me, just pushing my buttons like always--but when Ian lifts me onto the desk in my classroom and slides his hands up my skirt, he doesn't leave a lot of room for confusion.
I'm a little scared of things going south, of losing my best friend because I can't keep my hands to myself. So, I'm just going to back away and not return this earth-shattering kiss--oh who am I kidding?!
Goodbye Ian, ol' buddy, ol' pal!
Helloooo mister not so nice guy.

Genre: Romantic Comedy
A cheeky, laugh out loud romance with a friend-to-lovers trope. I fell in love!
The fact that this book is another winner from R.S. Grey comes as no surprise to me. She writes excellent romantic comedies with quirky characters and swoony romance. Not so Nice guys actually stands firmly in one of my top favorite spots of 2018- it's that good! If you enjoy friends-to-lovers romance with cheeky humor and hilarious characters that will easily maintain a place in your heart, this is a must read for you. In truth, I recommend all her books if you are looking for a feel good romance with little drama.
In Not So Nice Guy, readers will meet Ian and Sam. They met 3 years ago when they were hired at the same school they now teach at and hit it off. They instantly became best friends- they watch West Wing every Wednesday, eat dinner together every night, and sit together at lunch. They are what I would call the "cool kids" of the teachers lounge. Most people (their co-workers especially) think they are dating. I mean, how can two beautiful adults of the opposite sex be ONLY friends? But they aren't. Neither want to ruin the awesome friendship they have built so they steer clear of any feelings that could possibly come about. However, both DO harbor some feelings for each other, only they won't tell the other person. Again, they don't want to ruin the friendship. But when a hilarious picture goes viral, they both need to confront their feelings... Or be doomed at school!
As I mentioned, this is one of my favorite books by the author. I am so glad I scored a signed copy of the novel at a book event because I know I am going to want to hold onto this one forever. With that, this is a must read for any fans of lighthearted romantic comedies! You won't have any trouble devouring this story and falling instantly in love with Ian and Sam.
