A sexy, small town, fake boyfriend rom com!

Josh Landry is one of the hottest bartenders in New Orleans. He’s shown many a female tourist that things are definitely big and easy down here.

And he’s now been celibate for a year. Because he finally met her.

Yes, her. The One.

But, after nothing more than a hot goodnight kiss and a promise to meet up again next year if they’re both still interested, she went home to Iowa.

It’s been a long year.

But now it’s Mardi Gras again and he’s ready for his happily ever after.

If she shows up.

***

Oh, she shows up. For her best friend’s wedding. But Tori is a terrible bridesmaid because all she can think about is her knight-in-shining-Mardi-Gras-beads from last year. Well, and because she accidentally lays a hot kiss on her BFF.

Aka, the groom.

Unfortunately, no one believes that it was a case of mistaken identity. So, now she has to convince everyone she has no intention of ruining the wedding. She’s going to need a crazy-about-her boyfriend ASAP. Even if he’s just faking it.

Well there’s only one other person she knows in Louisiana... Josh is all in. In fact, he’s thrilled. And he’s not faking anything. But the groom isn’t faking his case of cold feet either.

And now Tori might have a choice to make.

My Best Friend's Madi Gras Wedding is such a treat! I felt like I was down in Louisiana, hanging on the Bayou, and enjoying every second with these eccentric folks! Erin Nicholas really knows how to write a book that will sweep her readers off their feet and into another world. Not only that, she writes these characters out of the mold! They aren't all perfect but realistic and charming. I loved it to pieces. My only real issue with the book (which isn't really an issue at all to be honest) is that it started off a little slow for me. Thankfully I pushed through though because it's a wonderful read. I highly recommend it!

As you can see, this is the first book in the Boys of the Bayou series. Each book can stand alone but they are interconnected! The ending in this one sets up the next book in the series. I honestly cannot wait to read it! Anyway, these books are interconnected as the main characters are all either brothers or cousins (and friends) and you will have met them in this book. Again, they can stand alone, but with series that are interconnected in some way I always recommend reading them in order -- or at least the first book in the series first.

In this one, readers will meet Josh and Tori. They met a year ago during Madi Gras but decided instead of giving each other their numbers they would meet one year later in the same spot if they both found themselves still thinking of the other. Fast forward a year later and fate brings these two together again. But it's not the easiest road to maneuver. Because it seems her best friend who is getting married while she is visiting is suddenly having cold feet. And this sets of a domino effect on Tori and Josh's relationship. What will happen? Well, read this one and you will find out! I promise, the journey is well worth it!

Highly Recommended. 4.5 stars
