Release Date: July 3, 2018
Genre: Cozy Mystery
Actual Rating: 4 stars
Lynn Cahoon is still a fairly new author to me, but she is quickly climbing into one of my favorite cozy authors. Her characters just seem to speak to me. They are realistic, relatable, and easy to love. The mysteries aren't cheesy like some cozies out there, and are fun to solve right along with the characters. My only issue, and really it's an issue with all cozies not just this one, is that the murders are a bit far fetched. Finding a murdered person once is a tragedy. Finding them twice, three times, and more is just unbelievable. Especially in a small town that hasn't had any in decades. I get that it's all part of the fun, and honestly I like how easy it is to fall into these mystery and solve the case, but they are still improbable to actually occur in the real world.
With that, this is another impressive cozy from Lynn Cahoon and I would recommend it to anyone who has read the first book in the series. I wouldn't recommend starting it wherever you want in the series because the characters are introduced in book one and you;ll learn about them, their business, and how they came to be.
