Until she meets Kate Randolph.
Kate is everything Frances is not: beautiful, wealthy, powerful, and confident. And for some reason, she’s not interested in being friends with any of the other Forrester moms—only Frances. As the two bond over their disdain of the Forrester snobs and the fierce love they have for their sons, a startling secret threatens to tear them apart.
Because one of these women is not who she seems. Her real name is Amber Kunik. And she’s a murderer.
In her masterful follow-up to The Party, Robyn Harding spins a web of lies, deceit, and betrayal, asking the question: Can people ever change? And even if they can, is it possible to forgive the past?

Boy, have I ever felt so sucked into a story-line! Her Pretty Face by Robyn Harding is a brand new domestic drama releasing July 10th! It's a story that involves two women, both hiding dark, harsh secrets, and the way they navigate both friendship and life. While there were points in the story that had me wondering where it was all going to go, I found the way the author showed these complex relationships to be quite thrilling. The climax, while not something that went BOOM and made you see things in a clearer light, but it was interesting and intense. We see it coming as readers, but don't know how to feel about it. Overall, I liked this book quite a bit. I sat in my pool with it and read the whole thing in one sitting. The eerie characters, the buildup and breakdown of relationships, and the navigation of finding out how to "go on" after deep buried secrets are revealed was fascinating. Sure, it was a slow buildup, and liking certain characters who turn out to be quite devious is upsetting, but the author presented a captivating read with this one.
This is the second book that I have read from Robyn Harding, and it will not be my last! I loved her previous book, liked this one a whole lot, and am excited to see what she comes up with next! Domestic dramas are one of my favorites to read and while I don't find many authors to captivate me within the genres, Robyn Harding does.
I hope readers will pick up a copy of this novel when it hits the shelves. I think it would be a perfect book to take on vacation or simply sit outside and read it with a cocktail in hand!
