Girl's Night Out is an interesting novel that explores friendships, dramas, secrets, and lies. While I wasn't totally sold on the story and still feel like something was missing in order to make it feel whole, I admittedly was sucked into the story and didn't stop until the very end. If you enjoyed these authors previous collaboration, this may be a read for you.
One of the things that stuck me in this novel is the intricacies in friendship and how it unraveled so quickly. Everyone has had friendships fall apart and know exactly how it feels and while sometimes it just happens because life moves us in different directions there are times when something bad happens that causes it. Now, I am still unsure exactly WHY this one HAD to end the way it did (it seemed quite silly to me) so I was a bit thrown off, but can appreciate how the authors presented the disintegration of their friendship.
The ending of this novel also had me scratching my head and I think many who read this book will agree with me. I can't say why because it would be a major spoiler (like, ruin the entire book type spoiler) but can say that I really didn't like it. This left me feelings like nothing was wrapped up.
Other than these few things that grated on my nerves I will say that these two make a fantastic duo and they know how to suck readers into their story. The writing style is top notch, the way they used multiple POV's was helpful and interesting, and the thrill leading up to the ending was quite good. It just wasn't a personal favorite of mine.
