Reckless is the second book in the Powerless Trilogy and follows Kai and Paedyn; two enemies that live completely different lives in the kingdom of Ilya. Kai is the enforcer for the King (now his brother Kitt) and Paedyn is an ordinary who doesn’t hold any powers like those Kai and the rest of the elites do. After killing the king in the finale of Powerless Kai is determined to get revenge and that means going after the woman who killed his father- the one woman he pines for despite it all. In this one, Kai is on the hunt. But it's not as easy for him because the feelings he has just won’t go away… And she’s super scrapy…

After reading Powerless I knew I needed to start on this one right away and I’m so glad I did because this one packed just as much action as the first. While I do wish the romance progressed more in this one, I think it’s a solid follow-up that has me really excited for the final book. That ending!?!? I can’t wait to see what the author does with it.

If you enjoy fantasy books that are clean but have a lot of action, then I recommend these books. Just make sure to read Powerless first!
