READ MY BOOK REVIEW
𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧: Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this one. It was extremely slow and underwhelming for my tastes. When it comes to mysteries, I need to crave the answers and with this one I just didn’t care about the outcome.
I know many people loved this book and you can see this through the glowing reviews on both goodreads and amazon. For me though, I didn’t care for it. I found the plot to be extremely slow and the outcome to be very underwhelming. I was never itching to figure out where Owen went and honestly didn’t even care about what happened to him. This in itself shows my disdain for this one. Don’t get me wrong, the message the author is sending about family and trust is a good one but the execution of it didn’t work for me. When I read a mystery, especially one where a character disappears, and the loved ones are looking for answers I need to feel a little thrill or suspense. I felt neither with The Last Thing He Told Me. I think everything was just too simple, too easy for the characters, and the ending was a bust. Simply put, this wasn’t the book for me and that’s okay. I recommend readers check out other peoples reviews and not depend on mine if you plan to read it.
