READ MY BOOK REVIEW

𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧: More Than This is an incredibly tender and emotional read. Experiencing love at a young adult never feels realistic in romance novels but in this one it does.

I’ve waited years to read this book and am absolutely kicking myself for doing so! This is the kind of book that seeps into your soul and clutches your heart with all its might. It’s tender, emotional, incredibly uplifting, and powerful. Jay McLean has written a timeless young adult romance with this book, and I think readers of any age can enjoy it. Doesn’t matter if the characters are straight out of high school and in the beginning of their college years. Their love transcends time and stereotypes. I normally have a tough time with young adult romances because I think authors write their characters love stories in a way that’s unrealistic for their ages but that is so different for this book. Micky and Jake have the type of romance every woman wants to experience, and their age is just a number.

One would wonder if a romance that started with tragedy could make it in the end as tragedies bring about a myriad of emotions and problems within themselves, so I was honestly surprised as to how authentic this one felt. Micky has been dealt a very tough hand with not only her boyfriend and best friend cheating on her for years but with the tragic death of her parents and little sister. But Jake comes along and weaving through the heartache is just a little bit easier with him by her side. The two may not have known each other for long but when two soulmates find each other time doesn’t matter. McLean proves this time and again in this novel.

Because this is an older novel, I don’t want to go into detail about the plot, but I will say this: 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗡'𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬. Readers have long since loved this novel and I can fully understand why. The hype for once is truthful! I highly recommend it.

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙:
• Young adult, high school romance
• Emotional stories with realistic themes
• Authors like Emma Scott, Tillie Cole, and Colleen Hoover

𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧: 🔥 🔥 🔥 (more sexual tension than actual sex)
