Ladies and gents, I have just read one of my top 5 FAVORITE books of 2021! Dial A for Aunties is the type of book you cannot put down and simply wouldn’t unless you had to! I read it in under 24 hours and only stopped because I needed to sleep 😂. It’s a hilarious novel, one that depicts a 20 something year old who finds herself in a tricky situation when a man she went on a date with gets fresh with her and then dies! Sounds morbid but I promise you it’s not! This is one funny novel and shows just how far family will go in order to protect the ones they love. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one!

Aside from the fact that I found this one to be an absolute riot, I also loved how the author used this tale to describe Chinese and Indonesian culture. What an absolute delight! I haven’t read many books like this and now want to read them all (especially is Sutanto writes them!). I felt immersed in the culture and wanted to be a part of it right alongside these loveable characters.

If you’re in the mood for a book with a little bit of mystery, romance, and mayhem that will give you all the belly laughs then I highly recommend picking this one up! I am highly anticipating the next one and hope the author writes this as a LONG series. I can’t get enough!
