#1 Multicultural romance bestseller

I’m head over heels in love with my best friend. Although, I can’t pinpoint exactly when Reeve Lancaster became my entire world. Was it when we were little kids, practically brought up together, after Reeve’s mom died during childbirth and his dad subsequently fell apart? Or when I doodled his name in my school journal at age ten? Maybe it was when we became boyfriend and girlfriend at fourteen or when we shed our virginity at sixteen, pledging our forever?

I was there as his star ascended—like I’d always known it would—and there wasn’t a prouder person on the planet. As the only child
of Hollywood’s golden couple, I’ve lived my life in the spotlight enough to know it wasn’t what I wanted for my future. But I sacrificed my own desires, because Reeve’s happiness meant everything to me.

Until he crushed my heart into itty-bitty pieces, forcing me to fly halfway around the world just to escape the gut-wrenching pain.

The opportunity to study at Trinity College Dublin came at the perfect moment, and I jumped at the chance without hesitation. If I’d known fate was meddling in my life, perhaps I would have chosen differently, but my future was cemented the instant I laid eyes on him.

Dillon O’Donoghue was Reeve’s polar opposite in every way, and perhaps, that’s why I felt drawn to him. He was the dark to my light. The thorn in my side, irritating me with his cold disdain, wild recklessness, and a burning rage hidden deep inside him that spoke to a silent part within me. Yet Dillon showed me what it was like to truly live, opening my eyes to endless possibilities.

What happened next was inevitable, and I only have myself to blame. He warned me, and I knew my reprieve was temporary, because there is only so far I can run.

Especially when fate hasn’t finished messing with me yet.

This is a full-length 168K-word second-chance romance novel that is book one of two. It cannot be read as a stand-alone, and it ends on a cliff-hanger. Recommended to readers aged eighteen and older.

𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧: Say I’m the One is an intense and emotional rollercoaster of a romance. Once you start you can’t stop! And once it ends, you’ll be immediately picking up the next one. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉.

Initially I wasn’t sure if I was going to read this book. Truth be told, I borrowed it from the kindle unlimited library MANY times, always returning it because there was something else I wanted to read instead. I mean the page count alone is FRIGHTNING. Nearly 600 pages and only for the first book in a duet? It scared me. I also looked at a few reviews where people were gushing about what an angsty and emotional read this one is and ended up being turned off because normally other people’s favorites don’t live up to my expectations. I think I let the praise go to my head and then end up feeling let down that it doesn’t evoke the same emotions in me. YOU GUYS!!!!!!!! This one lived up to all my expectations and MORE. Color me surprised because this was an emotional journey I couldn’t look away from. There were a few problematic pieces to the plot but after sitting down and thinking about this book as a whole I let those things go because this is one heck of a rollercoaster! 𝗜 𝗦𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗗, got angry, 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗗, and felt a myriad of emotions that I haven’t felt when reading a romance in a LONG TIME. So long… Not even joking! This is a very well written, angsty romance with the all the feels. 𝗕𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛, there is some cheating and there IS A LOVE TRIANGLE. If this isn’t your cup of tea, then look for something else to read. If you DO decide to read it though just expect for some very long nights because you won’t be able to put this one down! You’ll also finish the book with anxiety and need to pick up the next one immediately. That’s what I did and I’m already 20 percent in.

So, why am I giving this one 4 stars instead of 5 when it’s clear that I enjoyed this one immensely? I’'s quite simple: 𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗧. Seriously, I was furious when I read it. Why do authors have to add so much more drama to a book that doesn’t need it? I think in this case it’s to sell another book. Not truing to be rude but the twist isn’t what I was expecting nor is it something I think should have been used in order to make book 2. Sticking to the love triangle aspect alone would have been more than enough for me. 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗜 𝗪𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗡𝗘? No. I’m actually reading it right now and crying my eyes out. But that’s not the point LOL. I couldn’t help but NEED the second one despite my dislike for the twist. 𝗔𝗠 𝗜 𝗘𝗡𝗝𝗢𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞? Yes, yes I am. I didn’t need to love everything about the first one to enjoy the second one. 𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗜 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞? YES! A million times yes! Many readers are going to love the additional angst that this twist brings, and it really sets everything up for the second book, I just didn’t LOVE IT myself.

READ MY BOOK REVIEW

𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧: While I found Let Me Love You to be an exceptional end to this emotional duet, I do tend to wonder whether the author went overboard in the shocks she delivered.

Let me start by saying that this duet consumed me . The second I stopped reading the first book (which is extremely long BTW) I started in on this one. I couldn’t read it from start to finish because this is also a long one, but I did try and pick it up whenever I could because I needed to know what happened between Vivian and the two loves of her life. To say this book shocked me in multiple ways would be an understatement. I mean at every turn something crazy happened and I felt like I was experiencing whiplash. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as it adds to the angst that I so craved, but it did lead me to roll my eyes quite a few times. I mean how can things be THIS bad. It was one emotional shock after another and at some points I think the author went a little overboard with them. When you’re reading, every single thing that you can imagine going wrong WILL go wrong. It became a little tiring after a while. Aside from that though I did find this to be a great duet.

Siobhan Davis has delivered an emotional love triangle that shredded my heart. With twists, turns, and shocking developments throughout readers won’t be able to look away from this one. If you love books with a lot of angst that will leave you in a puddle of tears, then I recommend this duet. Just be sure to read Say I’m the one first as this is the conclusion to that book.
